That's how I read it   Written by Rae (9/26/2006 9:37 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, I read this as Marianne being taller than Elinor, penned by Barbara
Are you new?

That Marianne is taller than Elinor. I get this image of Marianne as larger and more voluptuous, but I have no idea whether that is historically corrrect - ie that a neater figure would be more correct. It is more to do with her temperament being overflowing and unrestrained, and Elinor's being neat and held in :-)
