L&T question.   Written by Reeba (9/24/2006 9:23 a.m.)
Are you new?

CH: 11;

".... parties on the water were made and accomplished as often as a showery October would allow.

I was wondering what kind of parties these were, and where did they take place.

What water is it - river? Sea? Are they having dancing and singing while on a boat. I remember the mention of it in 'Emma' where JF was nearly going to drown, but that must have been the sea.

Well enogh conjecture ;) I shall wait for a proper answer :).

Another question.

What is a covert? The place Willoughby rode to after dancing all night.
