Probably   Written by Barbara (9/23/2006 9:32 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Brandon and Sir John, penned by Mary Anne
Are you new?

Even in the book, they probably did feel that the lady Colonel Brandon would want to marry would be fortunate indeed. With an estate and being rich and his particularly gentlemanlike manners and being not nearly so exceedingly ancient as Marianne says, he would be a 'catch' to be sure.

I always wonder if he has left some disappointed ladies among those Mrs. Jennings tried to match up with him. But the colonel probably doesn't see himself as being a 'catch'.
