Ever since visiting Chawton village I have had this desire of living in a thatched cottage :}

I would have loved to live in any one of those on your blog Jan, but Knowle cottage would be the one if I had to choose *sigh* (again).

Vicars Hill is actually on top of a hill - as a cottage should be, unless it was a defective one ;)

The grand house of the Exeter MP looks like the one as Barton Park in S&S1, at least the outside.

S&S1 was also very correct then in having such lush greenery, and in one of the scenes where Col. Brandon stands and looks at the view before marching off to Barton cottage looked like one of your lovely photographs.
