Possibly, Elinor or her mother was in charge of the linen, china and plate which came from Norland.

Interesting, the 2 maids at Barton cottage performed varied rather than specialized tasks.
If the Dashwoods dined out at Barton Park as often as Sir John may like, I wonder if this cut down on cooking and washing of dishes and kitchen utensils for their servents.
