Mr Jennings was a business man(again I wont give the relevant quote because, not to be cussed, but because it is not inlcuded in this week's chapters):it would seem unlikey that he had properties that include a contry estate. His land holdings appear to be restricted his London house(again I won't go into details for this is not mentioned in this weeks allotted chapters).
It would also seem unlikey from JA's scenario that his wealth had been in his family longer than one generation,and that being the case I doubt that any strict settlement had any effect on this family and their wealth.
If Mrs Jennings had felt aggreived as a result of the workings of the rule of promogentiure I feel sure we would have heard about it. She being so voluble and vulgar.
The Farrars family differ, in that they had at least one country estate.
