because it showed these age patterns Marianne was worried about weren't general thought. IMO, it showed her being prejudiced, or maybe just ageist. This is something that might be typical of her age, but then no-one else seemed to think it about Brandon at all, except a person yet to be introduced into the story.

This information was very interesting.
