Chawton Cottage   Written by Pennie (9/19/2006 8:52 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, The 'defective' cottage, penned by Barbara
Are you new?

If Barton Cottage is intended to be similar to Chawton Cottage, then it would be comfortable, although obviously a big difference to Norland.

When I visited Chawton I was struck by it being comfortable if not grand, and a comparable size to the standard houses today. In fact if I remember correctly it's larger than the average british house.
