for sale; as I explained in my post above,Tattersalls auctioned horses too(as well as carriages,harnesses and hounds!)

In fact they still do: but they are no longer based in London but in Newmarket,( birthplace of the modern sport of Kings,of a very famous racecourse, studs, trainers et al) and they are the leading bloodstock auction house.

Here's a link to their current website( it's a very intersting place and I can highly reccommend a visit if you are ever in the area!)
