Are you new?

She doesn't bemoan the fact, but Mrs Dashwood could have taken a leaf out of Mrs Bennet's book and started worrying about the marriageablity of her daughters. A thousand pounds apiece, however good-looking they are, doesn't help them much in the marriage market. Not the one they have been brought up to expect, anyway.
