She contridicts herself-- Only conceive how comfortable they will be ! Yet when sighing over their handsome breakfast china she admits,
'A great deal too handsome, in my opinion, for any place they can afford to live in.'

A crack in Fanny's logic they need no financial assistance, maybe ? ;)

So agree. Sir John appears to be take on family responsibilites to the Dashwood ladies- a house, baskets of greenstuff and immediate invitations to dine at Barton Park-- in contrast, John does nothing for them !
