Welcome to the group read! I'm sure we're going to have fun!

A few guidelines to start things off:

1. No spoilers. Don't mark 'spoilers' on your posts because we don't want spoilers in the posts at all. Simply don't discuss or allude to anything that hasn't happened yet in the reading. Spoilers will be deleted.

2. Please make every effort to read all the posts in a thread before posting, and to peruse the board to see whether your post might fit into an existing thread.

3. Please remember that comparisons among JA's other novels should go to the Austenuations board, as always. It's perfectly fine to post on Austenuations something like "This point was just raised in the group read and ..." to start the comparison.

4. In general, try to discuss the earlier chapters in each week's section early in the week and try not to rush to the end of that week's chapters right away on the first day. It promotes more discussion if we spread it out over the course of the week.

5. Life & Times topics always come up during group reads and they are fascinating. Please remember that these types of posts require some support or reference source and not just speculation.
