My impressions.   Written by Reeba (3/10/2007 9:59 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Overall impressions?, penned by Cheryl
Are you new?

Enjoyable, entertaining and wonderfully funny.

This was the first time I read this play, and am glad I did.

-My favourite characters were Fag and Acres (I would say most of them, but since I have to choose, I choose these two).

I like the way Fag interacts with his master. ("Sir, Mr. Acres, just arrived, is below.")

-My favourite line from him is;
....yet it hurts ones conscience to be found out. LOL!!

-Favourite lines from Acres?'
*All* his swearing!!! :-D

-My favourite scenes are two;
Captain Absolute reading Beverley's letter.
And a very hysterical David with his;
-murder and slaughter—
—bloody sword-and-gun fighting!
-the mayor—aldermen— constables—churchwardens—and beadles..

What I didn't like?'
Hmmm - Actually nothing, though I was disappointed at one point, when after reading the plot that was hatched between Absolute/Beverley and Mrs. Malaprop, about his eloping with Lydia - and then it didn't happen.
I had thought that it would be an exciting way to solve the problems of identity.
