I think that's Absolute(ly) ;-) correct.
At least where Lydia is concerned.
If not for her adventurous fantasies Beverley wouldn't have come into being, and what follows (the plot itself)
I'm not so sure about Julie though.
It seems it's Faulkland pushing the plot forward with his 'doubts and testings' (Gosh!! I want to say - Odds doubts and Testings LOL!)
