How did they meet?   Written by Cheryl (3/6/2007 3:29 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, His plan backfired…, penned by Robbin
Are you new?

] I got the impression Jack's disguise was partly to ensure that Lydia liked him for himself also

This got me to wondering how they met. She has only known him as Beverley, so he must have known plenty about her when he introduced himself to her - that she was romantical, that she'd prefer him penniless to rich, forbidden fruit to being sanctioned by family. So, how did he know to do that? He must heard of her, observed her, fallen in love with her before they met?

Now, if he'd only taken the time to explain that to her, how could she have objected to that? That is quite romantical enough even for her! ;-)
