I just love Lydia's words which put her character of a romance heroine wannabe in a nutshell:


Now could I fly with him to the antipodes! but my persecution is not yet come to a crisis.

And, of course, Mrs. Malaprop never lets us down:
she’s as headstrong as an allegory on the banks of Nile.
When I imagine this allegory on the banks (weeping, probably, like patience on a pedestal), I'm ready to roll on the floor.
