The "old" Special Topic on the Theatre   Written by JulieW (2/26/2007 8:50 a.m.)
Are you new?

You might find that looking at some of the posts in my old Special Topic on the Gerogian Theatre will help put things into context, when reading this play.

The theatre in the1700s was a very differnt place and attending the theatre then was a very ( VERY) different experince from what we expereince today.

I've linked it below.

I will be posting about the Covent Garden Threatre ,the Duruy Lane theatre and theatrical conventions of the time etc in the next few days,but it might help you to "acclimatise" yourselves by taking a look at some of these posts :-);
