Sufficient for the day is the evil thereof

in consequence of the missive, Henry Morley's Introduction, penned by Cheryl
After reading the introduction I was struck that this family, the Sheridan’s, were a bit audacious. I must admit to knowing practically nothing of the House of Hanover but what has come up in connection to JA but I have to wonder what was up with Dr. Thomas Sheridan (the author’s grandfather) getting himself fired from his clerical position for insinuating by choice of text that people were anxious about their ruler. I suppose this choice was politically motivated on his part rather than comedic but was it not rather short sighted in lieu of the fact he lost his job because of it. Was that a surprise or not foreseeable? Have I interpreted this correctly? ;D KJV: Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Matthew 6:34 -- The Cure for Anxiety (Online Parallel Bible, http://bible.cc/matthew/6-34.htm)
