in consequence of the missive, Is Caroline there?, penned by Claire S
]I was wondering if we see any more of her in the next book. I am interested to see if there is any lasting effect from this experience. No, Caroline Bingley Parrish (ok, I'm not altogether sure what to call her either -- my guess is "Mrs. Parrish" but I'd have to do some research on that) doesn't appear in the next book. She's still off licking her wounds. Or sharpening her claws, as the case may be :) The full title is "Suspense and Sensibility (Or, When Harry Met Kitty)," which should give you some clues about who you can expect to meet. Mrs. Bennet persuades Elizabeth and Darcy to take Kitty to London for the social season. There she meets Harry Dashwood -- John and Fanny Dashwood's son, now grown. (If you're wondering how this is possible, S&S is thought to take place in the mid-1790s, while P&P is thought to take place 1811-12.) Many of your favorite S&S characters appear, and some not-so-favorite. (Really, is there room in one book for both Caroline Bingley and Lucy Steele Ferrars? ;) Professor Randolph also makes a reappearance, as do the Earl of Chatfield and his wife. |
