What surpised me Written by Tara O'Donnell (4/2/2004 8:24 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, I was fooled, penned by Mary Frances 2

I wasn't sure about Parrish for most of the time(did have doubts when he insisted on leaving the country with Caroline,asking Lizzie for a lock of her hair and keeping that ring on Caroline)-what did surpise me was that actual magic was used.

With all the discussions about superstitions and such,I thought the story would have a Scooby Doo type ending-one where the bad guys pretended to use magic to trick the unsuspecting,only to be unmasked and exclaim"I would've gotten away with it if it weren't for those meddling Darcys!":D.

Making Lizzie slightly psychic seems odd but in the context of the story,it worked. This was a fun book and I would even read a sequel to it:).
