Pentagram and ring   Written by DeborahAnn (3/31/2004 8:09 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Another red herring?, penned by Linda
Are you new?

] Darcy wished fervently that Parrish hadn’t brought up the pentagrams before Miss Kendall. He hadn’t even know that anyone beyond himself, Elizabeth, and the constable knew that the symbols had been found on and around Kendall’s body. He supposed he had the servants to thank for that.

] Elizabeth attends Caroline with a nervous maid and, with Caroline’s permission, removes the ring. But Parrish replaces it before Caroline can say anything.

Parrish was asked by the constable if he knew what a Pentagram at the end of his interview..so he may have guessed that the shape was important to the investigation. So would Parrish have guessed that the pentagram symbol was actually found somewhere in the room or was he listening at the door while the Darcy's and the constable were in Kendall's room?

Not sure about the servants--when would they have known about the body and the symbols? Did the servant find the body before Darcy and not tell anyone? If even one of them did--would they have noticed the symbols--let alone know what they were?? Even the Darcy's and the constable didn't noticed the markings right away.

Caroline's Ring?? There is that ring again. Why is Parrish so intent of her keeping it on? Even if it is her wedding ring--it is obviously hurting her.. why won't Parrish let her take it off until her finger heals?? Something is up with this ring.
