Over the top and some "modern" language   Written by BarbB (3/30/2004 3:57 p.m.)
Are you new?

Although for the most part I enjoyed the book and found that they were somewhat "true" to the times (I don't expect perfection) there were some extremely modern terms i.e. "creative accounting".

Also, I found the Bingley's servants just a bit "over the top". While I think that Jane and Mr. Bingley would be considerate and kind-hearted, would they really hire such inept but needy servants? Surely there are enough experienced servants that need the money, without having to look for "charity cases". It was cute the first time but after a while it was a repetitious and not very funny joke. Did this annoy anyone else?
