that you should mention a servant with a grudge - that scenario never occurred to me. Still, I am more inclined to blame Parrish as he is the newest variable to the group and everything weird seemed to start happening once he arrived. I want to like him as Lizzy does, but for some reason, I just can't bring myself to do so.

Hurst appears to be a likely candidate; but I just don't see him as the murdering type (too lazy to get up off the couch and do it!). And yet, he could have paid a servant (or anyone) to handle it for him. Hmmmm.

It's also interesting that Jane and Bingley wouldn't have a servant go find (or at least go look in on ) their guest Mr. Kendall. Even though he was a horrid man, the Bingleys are polite hosts and I believe it's the least they would have done when Kendall failed to show up for dinner.
