I am so suspect of Parrish that I wonder if she really scratched him or is this something that he devised to justify sending her away to an asylum; shudder!
I imagine the conditions of such a place during that time must have been abominable. That may have been banishing her to a fate worse than death.

I am with Lizzy. We expect Bingley to be compliant, but Louisa! I would have expected her, as characterized in this story especially, to be outraged at the prospect; the scandal.
Parrish and Randolph really seem to be on the outs. And where was he?
