] Thank goodness Elizabeth would not surrender a lock of her hair to Parrish.

I was so proud of her for saying "no" to that particular request. Imagine Darcy's response had she acquiesced! I'm glad she was strong enough to decline an odd request like that, too - especially given the way he presented it to her. I know she would want to do anything she could to help Caroline, but his request was too intimate IMHO. I find that his behavior often borders what is decent - but that could be because I distrust (and dislike) him.
