In theory   Written by Geri-Lynn (3/26/2004 9:08 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, The Darcys become suspicious in Chjapter 20, penned by Linda
Are you new?

] Is Elizabeth's imagination running away with her or is it possible that Mr. Hurst is so desparate that he may consider doing away with Charles and Caroline so that Louisa can inherit the Bingley fortune?

...all the clues do seem to add up to some collusion on Mr. Hursts' part. He does have the most to gain should Bingley and Jane die (heirless), and Caroline either die or be committed to an asylum. Still, I just don't see Hurst as being behind all of this. I think he's a red herring to throw us off the scent. My money is still on Parrish - he married Caroline so quickly after being forced away from Kendall's daughter. He's after something.

I'm still pondering all this voodoo stuff. I like how Darcy is so scientific and rational in his approach to the events.
I'm hoping that dark magic is not the ultimate explanation for the goings-on in the story -- give me something tangible, and factual, I say! I think dark magics as the explanation would be a cheesy way out - but perhaps the author can pull it off should she choose to go that route.
