He puzzles me   Written by Geri-Lynn (3/25/2004 8:18 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Parrish deflecting, penned by Michele S.
Are you new?

] ] Parrish seems to be casting suspicion on his wife. Again, makes one wonder at his devotion. Although, Elizabeth seems to believe him.

He appears to be all kindness and goodness, and to be deeply devoted to Caroline; but I fear it is merely smoke and mirrors, that he isn't what he appears to be (sort of Wickham-ish).

I still question his marrying Caroline so soon after breaking off another engagement.... Come on, this is Caroline we're talking about - not an easy woman to love! One would also like to believe that she's not an easy woman to fool, so I wonder how and why she took up with this Parrish man. I want to like him, because he seems to be such a great guy; but his behavior is constantly suspect, and he seems to want everyone to believe that Caroline has lost her mind and that he is the victim in this situation.
