During this scene I grew even more suspicious of both Parrish and Randolph. There must be some complot between them. Like Elizabeth I've wondered all the time why they are so intimate although they are supposed to be only slight aquaintances. Now it's very clear to me. They must have some plan to get Caroline to Louisiana where they want to lock her up with this Dr. Lancaster. Sounds extremely Gothic! ;-)
But even if this were true what could be their motive? Caroline is not so very wealthy. The 20,000 she owns could not justify such action, I think.
