That whole section set off alarms with me-I was agreeing with everything Darcy said. It makes no sense that a woman traumatized by a new situation would be calmed by traveling to another unknown(to her,that is)country without any family or friends. Sounds like Parrish was eager to isolate Caroline,IMO.

Also,the"suicide" attempt looked very staged to me. Most people try something like that in a place where they won't be disturbed. As Lizzie said herself,would Caroline even condescend to be in a kitchen?
