I wondered about Parrishes approval of Darcys words too. I had expected it otherwise. Does he reallly sopport the professor just for amusement? In the discussion before, about Carolines place of recovery, he looked like someone who does believe (or at least more serious interested) in the professors studies.
Or is his behaviour a effort to deviate?
