Are you new?

] It seems to me that much emphasis is being placed on Mr. and Mrs. Parrish's wedding rings. ] Could the sunburst design be somehow related to Professor Randolph and his watch that Elizabeth has also noticed?

] And how Caroline strip it up "as far as her first knuckle"!

] And in chapter ten, "Her wedding ring caught a ray of sunlight, momentarily splaying prismatic beams onto the far wall." I think you are on to something.

Definitely! I just walked in on my husband watching 'Nine to Five". It was the scene where one of three employees flips opens her ring and pours some poison out of it into her boss' coffee.

It hit me! Could that ring that went to her knuckle have something to do with it? I couldn't wait to get to my computer to talk about this. Ah, but I should have known - you Pemberley sleuths were way ahead of me. I can't wait to read anything about hand waving or moving.
