I got the impression that while the Bingleys, particularly Jane, were not being taken advantage of by unscrupulous servants, to a certain extent they were being taken advantage of by their own good-will in hiring needy, kind, but incompetent servants.

I also think that the treacherous new path will be the downfall of someone before the mystery is solved!
