Oh, I agree. But, I'm also suspicious about something Mr. Kendall said, and have no real reason - just a gut feeling. At the end of his conversation with Darcy, he says, "She and Parrish deserve each other". I don't know why, but I wonder if this implies more than just obvious anger about the break-up of his daughter and Parrish. Could he be telling us that he knows something about the American that we don't? And because of his negative feelings for all things Bingley, is saying that they are a good match. ] I want to just start by saying that I have delieberately not read a word beyond this week's chapters, ... I haven't even gotten that far. |
