My understanding of weddings of this era is that they were small family affairs...remember Mr. Knightley did not even attend Miss Taylor's wedding, and they had been in extremely close association for a number of years.

Although Jane would now be considered a "sister" to Caroline, I don't believe this relationship would extend to Elizabeth.

Oh well.
