] Like Barbara mentioned below, I am suspicious of Miss Kendall and her supposed large fortune.

Is there an elaborate scheme at work here involving all 3 of them?? Maybe one, two or all of them isn't really who they say they are too..The Darcy's being in the vicinity probably wasn't part of the plan either..Hmmm..
