] Mr Parrish is from Louisiana and I'm guessing he's become familiar with some type of dark art (through Randolph?) that in the future will be known as mesmerising.....Mr Parrish is only after our dear Caroline's fortune!

Professor Randolph seems like a nice guy but something about him bugs me...Caroline's state when found by the Darcys suggests some sort of hypnosis,perhaps chemically induced?
