Charlotte advised Jane (through Elizabeth) to show more affection to Bingley, as it was through the display of partiality that love grows. Charlotte was pretty good at following her own advice, securing a marriage proposal in a matter of a day!

Jane and Elizabeth are far more proud (or reserved), and do not display their feelings publicly. It is a delicious cat and mouse game - try to tell what the other person's emotions are without betraying your own.
