For another example, don't forget that in ch.45 Caroline Bingley tries to disparage Elizabeth by complaining that her face is too thin. Also, back at Rosings, Elizabeth and Maria Lucas were astonished to find Anne de Bourgh so "thin and small" - obviously not a compliment!
