Are you new?

Why do you think Mr Bennet is wishy-washy? He's not someone who is so firm in his initial opinion that he can be described as pig-headed, but I would not say he goes as far in the other direction as to be described as wishy-washy. For example, Mrs Bennet never persuades him that he should try to make Elizabeth marry Mr Collins.

Is there not a space somewhere between being moved by every suggestion, and sticking to your first idea regardless of any argument or counter-evidence?
