It seems to me that for the sake of her own happiness she has to try to cultivate a relationship with her husband. Her honest views about Lydia's upbringing (which are quite reasonable) might have been an "offering to conjugal unreserve." Of course it might have been wiser to anticipate the likelihood that her views would be passed on to Lady Catherine and back to the Bennets, but in general sharing honest views with a husband is a good thing.
