Are we reading the same book? :)   Written by Tracy W (6/7/2007 5:06 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Unsurprising?, penned by Kathi
Are you new?

This is the guy who managed to put off everyone at the Meryton Ball, who basically ignored poor Sir William's attempts at conversation at the Lucas Lodge party, who thinks that he can decide on Jane's feelings for Bingley after a few hours observation (although he only became aware of Bingley's feelings for Jane after Sir William alerted him), and who JA assures us is continually giving offense. And after this you're surprised that Darcy gets the courtship thing wrong?

I don't approve of Darcy's style of courtship, but I'm not capable of being surprised at it.
