Evidence of Lizzy's feelings for Darcy...

As for Lizzy seeing herself not at the same level as Darcy, the narrator says as much in chapter 10 and again in 18 during Darcy and Elizabeth's dance. And I think that Lizzy's pride and arrogance are apparent througout the book. Her treatment of Mr. Collins (he is silly and stupid) and her disdain for Miss Bingley and Mrs. Hurst, not to mention Mr. Darcy for thinking they were above everyone else. She knows she is smart and witty and she takes delight in everything ridiculous... Having said that, I don't think there is anything wrong or improper in the way Elizabeth behaves. I just think she is young and I don't see a problem with pride... By the way, I like the idea of Pemberley being a stand in for Darcy's family...
