No, the book doesn't say   Written by Line (6/6/2007 10:01 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Speaking of Matlock ... Darcy's uncle, penned by Jessica T

In ch.30, we are merely told that "Darcy had brought with him a Colonel Fitzwilliam, the younger son of his uncle, Lord -- --." I think it was P&P2 that gave Col. Fitzwilliam's father the title of the Earl of Matlock.
