Inadequate courtship and mixed signals   Written by Ramya (6/6/2007 2:24 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, The difficulty of courtship in Regency times, penned by Tracy W
Are you new?

In addition to the excellent points mentioned below, I have one more to add about Darcy's courtship, but can't now- that will have to wait until the end of the book.

As for Adrian's point- trusting her with the secret of his sister's elopement, it was post-proposal, not pre. His willingness to trust her was neccesiated by the desire to clear his character and safeguard Lizzy from any future schemings of Wickham. I don't see him confiding such a secret to her if she had accepted his proposal.

As for Darcy being in love with Lizzy- I think we'll just have to agree to disagree on that. :)
