Or is Darcy 'deep'?   Written by William D (6/4/2007 6:12 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Ooooh, the "Is Darcy shy?" debate!, penned by Line
Are you new?

I'm vastly enjoying all the erudite commentary from the group readers. The "shyness" explanation for ungentlemanly behavior does not capture the character well enough for me at this point (even though I referred to it in the thread above). I'm beginning to wonder perhaps if Darcy's personality might be rather complex, after all. Or "deep", as my esteemed father often said of people whose motives were hard to decode.
