Change of heart   Written by Cheryl Kay (6/3/2007 11:13 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Lizzie's Change of Heart, penned by BarbaraB
Are you new?

Because of the letter, Elizabeth realizes that Darcy is a much better person than she once thought, but she doesn't like him yet.

It seems to me that her heart really begins to change when she sees Pemberley and realizes how nice it is. After that, Elizabeth seems much more receptive to the housekeeper's glowing praise than her uncle.

"Mr. Gardiner, highly amused by the kind of family prejudice to which he attributed her excessive commendation of her master, soon led again to the subject."

This reminds me of Mr. Bennet listening to Mr. Collins going on and on about LC.
