Exactly, + note to Lila   Written by Line (6/2/2007 7:50 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Lizzy knows that she only partly misjudged ..., penned by Kathi
Are you new?

Lila, you asked what Elizabeth would have to live with? In her present estimation, it would be:

a) a man she doesn't really feel comfortable with
b) a man she considers bad-tempered
c) a man who really *is* rather arrogant, conceited, and doesn't care about others' feelings as much as he should (though obviously he's not as bad as she originally thought!)
d) a man who is only occasionally interesting to talk to, not like Col. Fitzwilliam, who was *always* fun and interesting to talk to - remember that as far as Elizabeth knows, Darcy is the type who often sits around staring at people in silence, and has to make a real effort to show basic good manners
e) a man who doesn't accept her family (perhaps for good reason, but they're still her family)
f) more seriously, a man who doesn't completely accept *her* - lack of fortune and connections, etc. - Once the honeymoon was over, wouldn't Darcy start to despise himself (and her) a little for marrying her against his better judgement? She'd be walking on eggshells all the time!

The thing is that Elizabeth really cares what it will be like to live on a daily basis with any man she might consider marrying, not just about the money and position she will gain by marrying him.
