Your posting just made me wonder about something...   Written by Lila (6/1/2007 7:39 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, I think you have it just right, Adrian, penned by Cathy Allen
Are you new?

Darcy says he loves Elizabeth, but is it love really? I am new to this board, so I may have missed discussion about the extent and nature of Darcy's feelings for Lizzie. He is attracted to her, and he finds her amusing and interesting. That is clear. But besides the fact that he asks her to marry him, what indication is there that it is love that motivates him? We know so little about his perspective. Sorry if this has already been discussed in previous threads.
