not to worry as much about her future as her mother does. It's true, I would expect a bit more of an impression being left on Elizabeth. This should be the first time she has found herself to be an object of such ardent love - if you discount Mr Collin's affections, of course. :)

There! I know she is shocked by proving how badly she has misread people. But if I were Elizabeth, I would be even more shocked by the proposal itself.
