Whatever the cause of Elizabeth's emotional turmoil at this stage, she doesn't seem bothered by the mere fact of passing up marrying one of the richest men in England:

His attachment excited gratitude, his general character respect; but she could not approve him; nor could she for a moment repent her refusal, or feel the slightest inclination ever to see him again. (chpt 37).

Clearly Elizabeth doesn't think she passed up the opportunity of a lifetime.
